The club has taken out insurance for Civil and Employer’s Liability along with Personal Accident Insurance.
Personal Accident Insurance
Compulsory for all our members, which is why it is included in the annual subscription.
This provides a ‘no-fault’ compensation for members who are injured whilst participating in a club authorized/organized activity (including direct travel to and from home).
The Benefits are:
Fatal Accident £5,000
Permanent Total Disablement £50,000
Optical Treatment £250 any one accident (excess £25)
Dental Treatment £500 any one accident (excess £25)
Physiotherapy Limit £500 any one accident (excess £25)
Temporary total Disablement Benefit £50 Per week (max 52 weeks) 7 day deferment period
Civil Liability Protection
Cover is provided for all club members, including volunteers.
Indemnity extends to:
Any club activity, including training and the playing of hockey as well as any social, fundraising and administrative activities.
A club member who causes injury, damage or financial loss to a fellow member.
A club member who borrows, rents or leases premises for sporting or social purposes and is held liable for damage to the facility.
Limit of indemnity (There is no policy excess)
